Sumosan Twiga is bringing the time-honoured art of sushi-making to kitchens across London for those looking to try out their sushi rolling skills. Executive Head Chef Buba Belkhit will guide guests through the process of slicing, dicing and rolling sushi at home via an interactive and entertaining virtual experience.
Buba’s easy-to-follow guidance and personalised instructions will give you a unique opportunity to create a restaurant-quality meal from home, which you can settle down to and enjoy at the end of the class.
Before the start of each class, participants will receive a package containing all the equipment and high-quality ingredients needed to make their sushi, including a sushi mat, chopsticks and Sumosan Twiga aprons. The hour long class will take participants through all of the steps to create four different types of Maki Rolls (rolled sushi) – Cucumber; California (crab); Spicy Tuna; Salmon Philadelphia Cheese – and after careful preparation, the sushi will be ready to eat straight away.
Group Head Chef Bubker Belkhit, affectionally known as Buba started his restaurant food journey in Moscow, working his way up from kitchen porter to the Group Head Chef of Mayfair’s Sumosan. His dream, now an achievement, was to create innovative, critically acclaimed contemporary Japanese cuisine that legendary Sumosan is now known and recognised for.
